THORNTON IN CRAVEN’S GLOBAL SAFARI SUPPER
Saturday 25th April 2015
Each course has a total of eight to feed. Keep it simple, it’s supposed to be fun.
(As in recent years, we have a maximum of 32 couples taking part).
Saturday 25th April. We all meet at the Village Hall at 6.45 pm PROMPT. You will
be given instructions on where in the World you go for your supper. (e.g. You could
be a taking a Cruise Liner to Church Road for delicious Hong Kong Dim Sum, The
Eurostar to Thornton Manor Court for a French Onion Soup. Maybe even a Lear Jet
to a Booth Bridge hacienda for Nachos in the heat of Mexico City).
Please note that people doing starters need not meet, just be ready for your 6
guests to arrive at 7.00pm
Only when the starters are finished will the host open their envelope to reveal
where everyone goes for their next course. Of course if you are doing fish you will
know you have to get home to receive your 6 different guests. You will be expected
to be at your fish course for 7.50pm
The same will happen for the main course and you will be expected to arrive there
You will have a bit more time to chew over the main course and will be expected to
arrive for dessert at 9.40pm
Remember, you will only know where your next course is as each course is completed.
Expect to drive to some of your courses but hopefully you will be in ever decreasing
circles to arrive at the Village Hall for the finale party 10.30 till 11.30ish
Meet 6.45 prompt
