Sitooterie and Open Gardens
The 2007 Open Gardens featuring "Sitooteries" takes place on the weekend of 16-17th June.
The annual Sitooterie is held around the end of June. The event is organised by members of St. Mary's Church to raise funds to help with the up keep of the parish church.
Open Gardens with a difference
So what is the Sitooterie? The sitooterie weekend consists of an open gardens event, but with sitting out places both in the open gardens and around the village.
A quiz, tombola and plant sale are all added to the event along with the opportunity to vote for your favourite garden, the winning garden owner being presented with a glass vase for the year.
