Thornton in Craven Village Hall

The village hall is owned by the village and managed by a committee some members being "Trustees". They are responsible for the up-keep of the hall, it is a charitable trust and therefore is regulated by the Charity Commission, Reg. Charity No 508056/R. Organisations within the village regularly use the hall for meetings and social functions, It is an ideal venue for celebrating birthday's, anniversaries, or a right good knees-up, it is also used by small companies for seminars, Hiring the hall is through the caretaker, Rachel Holmes 01282 842290 who will explain costs and conditions of hire, current costs are:

  • General Meetings £10
  • Fund raising Functions £10
  • Parties and functions £15
  • Parties, functions (Non Village Residents) £20
  • Meetings of less than half hour, with no heating £5

A session normally constitutes a morning, an afternoon or an evening. For a full day session, please add 50% to the above charges.

The management committee meets four times a year. We welcome enquiries from anyone who feels they can contribute to the management committee. Please contact anyone listed below if you are interested.
