I wondered whether any people who are self-isolating/social distancing might be interested in a jigsaw puzzle or two to borrow during the lockdown? I have some nice ones – “Memories” of sweets/products in the 40s, 50s, 60s – Brands of Britain etc. I have a jigsaw roll up mat? Also a couple of Rupert Bear jigsaws (a 50 piece and an 80 piece) that younger children
I could make them available if anyone wanted something to do – I seem to have amassed board games over the years, too.

Due to the current situation, the village litter pick has now been cancelled. We will look at holding it later in the year. In the meantime, follow the guidelines and please look after yourselves and your neighbours.

The next Parish Council meeting will be held on Wednesday 4th March 2020 at 7pm in the Village Hall. All welcome to attend. A copy of the Agenda can be found in the Village notice board and on the Agenda page under the Parish Council tab on this website.
Saturday 14th March in the Village Hall
After the success of the first T-I-C Bingo Night we have been ask to do it again. Its A fun night for everyone (children welcome with an adult). Why not bring your friends and family along – the more the merrier.
There will be 6 games per book (£3 per book) with cash prizes for a line and a full house on every game. The last game of the night is a flyer (£3 each) for a full house only where you can win a substantial cash prize.
Doors open at 7.30pm for ticket sales and eyes down 8pm. Bar open 7:30 till 11:00

from 7.00pm until 9.00pm.
This Venue might change whilst building work is carried out
The aim is to enable everyone to learn new or brush up current handicraft skills of all varieties which others may be proficient in.
Each session is dedicated to a different craft skill with the option of readdressing it at a later date.

This small charity is once again offering a sum of money to help existing not-for-profit groups and activities within the village to Thornton-in-Craven.
It is currently able to offer up to £120 in the year 2018 as a start-up grant for new activities, or to help existing groups to function.
