The Friday walking group meet 1st Friday in the month, leaving Thornton at 9am and returning no later than 3pm leaving time to pick-up children from school. The walks were usually within 1 hour drive and are mainly centered on the Yorkshire Dales.
The walks were between 5-10 miles taking about 3-4hrs. The dates and the routes of the walks are added to the events section of the website and regulars are notified by email. From time to time additional walks are organised at weekends or on an evening.
