Trollers Gill

Trollers Gill 17th April 2015

This walk starts and finishes in Burnsall taking in the villages of Appletreewick and Skyreholme.  Legend has it that Trollers Gill is the home of trolls and the mythical monstrous black dog Barghest.  It is also the location of an old lead and later fluorspar mine which was last worked in the 1960s. Its a short, easy walk with the only difficult bit been the 300m or so walk up the gill over the boulders of the dry river bed.
