Fell Race 29 May 2022

Thornton-in-Craven’s first fell race on 29 May is poised to be a cracking event, with its beautiful starting place at the village cricket club, where tea and biscuits will be available throughout the day.

Both races lead to Lathe Wood, which is a very steep grassy track heading up to the Pennine Way. At this point, both races depart and take opposite directions.

The 14.99km long route with 535m elevation continues towards Pinhaw trig point and on to Lothersdale, before returning on the Lothersdale fell race route back to the trig point again and back to the village.

The 4.64km short route with 157m elevation follows the Pennine Way back to the old railway line and back.
